For the past 1 week, have been working really hard to attract traffic to this new blog of mine. As of 5:00am February 5th, it has 160 visits. It was a better result than my initial expectation but most of the traffic comes from Project Petaling Street(PPS), and social network databases like Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon. I am guilty of submitting my own content to the social network sites, they indeed are very efficient and brought a lot of traffic. However, I have decided to stop submitting my own material until I have written a very good post. This would probably mean that I will have very low page view in the coming days, will just ping PPS at appropriate time to attract more Malaysian readers and see what I would get.

I am very happy to have 7 feed subscribers currently, and I thank them earnestly for their confidence in me despite the site being so young. I will try to better myself in my coming posts, and hopefully these 7 subscribers will continue to support me by submitting and voting for the posts in Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon and Technorati if they like the posts.

This is the current breakdown of my visitors' countries according to SiteMeter:

As you can see, US visitors make up the largest portion of visitors to this site. I am aiming to increase my readers from Malaysia and South East Asia.

Apparently just before I create this report, there was a glitch in Google pagerank system, some people say that Google directory was updating at that moment and erroneously assigned a PageRank 7 to my blog! I was really shocked, realized that it could never be true, but at the same time praying that it's the truth. It is impossible to make a sudden jump from PageRank 0 to PageRank 7, when the update is done, I will remain at PageRank 0, wondering when I will make it to PageRank 1. Below is the screenshot that I have taken during the system glitch:

That's all for now. There probably won't be further weekly updates on my blog's performance. I am just really bored now, decided to test out Google Page Creator and wasn't sure this content would fit the blog because I want to ensure that my subscribers get only the best posts. On the other hand, if they don't mind reading about my site's performance at all, I would gladly post it in the blog the next time around.

Thank you for your attention, thank you for your support. I hope there are better times ahead for us all :)

Happy Chinese New Year (Lunar Year) 2008 & Happy Valentine's Day!!!
